Finally now that I have one job, I can focus more attention to art making. This is from a brand new series about my own fictitious world. This series focuses solely on the flora. The new collectively run art space, Foxglove Gallery in Riverwest, is holding their second gallery event this Friday, Feb 4th from 5-10 pm. The show features works by three Sabuer’s: Clark Stamm, Mat Gasparek, and Neil Subel, so come show your support, as well as support for the Foxglove Gallery. 826 [...] I’ve been trying to start a new series for a while now. It’s going to be more illustrative, playful, and experimental. (I need a break from realism). Something tells me this series just might become a book. The weather was kinda crummy this weekend and I loved it. I stayed in and drew quite a bit. It was lovely. Here are a couple. -Mat Indian Summer Colours Part Two by Mr. Squirrel on Mixcloud …cocooned in them, transfixed by [...] Some photos from the Odyssey Art Exhibition. MOCT was saturated with diverse works from young and emerging Milwaukee artists, including a few Sabuers. The event was very successful in having a great time and gaining exposure for many young artists. The event is an inspiration to all who want to create a more flourishing [...] I love experimenting with different mediums for painting and drawing. One thing I’ve never done much of though, is digital art. Since I had promised Sean a drawing for his graphic novel, Guardians of Gaia, I thought it would be fun to color the drawing using the paint bucket tool in Photoshop. The original [...] |
